I dare say that never have I come across publicity hungry people like Ms.Roy who has truly become a small thing with her actions and words..Instead of trying to sort things out she goes around making statements that the least sound like arising from an insane mind. and she goes on to pity the nation when action is sought to be taken against her by saying that more dangerous people like corrupt businessmen, rapists et all go free..but here she forgets the fact that two wrongs does not make a right..the rapists or corrupt industrialist may have affected the life of one or at the most a hundred people but her actions go against an entire nation and the desires of a population..and to serve what end other than some cheap publicity..first she pities the murdering maoists now its the turn off the rampaging separatists..Even the god of bigger things will find it hard to help her if she continues in this vein

what's with chennai that recession seems to have taken a detour down here..none of the effects that one saw in the rest of the world seems to have happened in this developed village that is presently known as chennai..things are more costlier..real estate keeps booming with sqft rates sky-rocketing ..cars gets sold faster than they arrive at the showroom..crowds keep milling at textile shops and even at jewellery stores there is no dearth of people even when gold hovers around 2000 a gm..Is it because outsiders have started to overtake the locals..Maybe yes.. what with all the auto and IT giants setting shop here we the city's ancients are slowly being nudged out by upcountry youths who have marched in to take control with their heavier pockets..

hai guys

This october day in chennai ,seems like may. The city's hot but only in the literal sense. One by one madras is turning to chennai and it is slowing losing out all that has been once its land marks. I cant but feel terribly down and out when I see the slow destruction of my favourite Madras in the name of development. The city now looks like Venice on Tar where we have the same number of bridges but Tar roads in place of rivers ..hope Chennai retains at least some part of Madras--just for us old timers
